Celsicom TC603 enhances concrete monitoring

yellow boxes with lots of wires hanging on a newly poured concrete wall Celsicom's TC603 is specifically engineered to provide up-to-date information on the status of concrete pours

The Celsicom TC603, developed by Swedish company Celsicom, the TC603 offers real-time insights into concrete pours, allowing precise determination of when the concrete has reached optimal strength for formwork removal.

The TC603, a robust measuring box, is specifically engineered to provide up-to-date information on the status of concrete pours, ensuring enhanced control and efficiency in construction projects.

Upon activation, users simply scan the QR code within the box and log in or create an account on the Celsiview cloud service.

With two thermocouple wires cast into the concrete, the TC603 seamlessly tracks temperature and strength developments, delivering updates directly to users' mobile devices, tablets, or computers.

Using narrow-band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) technology, the TC603 transmits data directly to the cloud service without the need for a local base station, ensuring reliable connectivity even in areas with weak signals.

Moreover, the device's built-in memory safeguards measurement data in case of temporary network issues, providing uninterrupted monitoring throughout the construction process.

One of the TC603's most remarkable features is its exceptional battery life. Operating on just two standard AA batteries, the TC603 eliminates the need for a power supply on construction sites, offering unparalleled convenience and flexibility. Battery status updates are readily available on Celsiview, with automatic notifications prompting battery changes when necessary.

Stefan Carlsson, CEO of Celsicom, said: "The TC603 is currently in use by large and small companies in the construction industry throughout the Nordic region. It’s a connected sensor for measuring temperature and calculated strength in newly laid concrete."

"Cheap thermocouple wires are moulded into the concrete, and when the moulding is done, the cable is cut, and the sensor part can be moved to the next job with new wire connected."

Celsicom specialises in the development and production of cellular communication solutions, including advanced signal boosters, antennas, and repeaters designed to enhance mobile network coverage and connectivity in various environments, such as homes, offices, and remote areas.
