The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is funding a new project to gather information about how work-related stress is managed. The project, known as OSCAR (Occupational Stress Consultation and Research), will help shape future policy and provide guidance to employers on how to tackle stress in the workplace.

The research will explore how stress is discussed, the challenges faced, and examples of best practice. It invites input from a wide range of people, including employers, clinicians, and professional bodies.

“This is an opportunity to inform how work-related stress is handled across industries,” says HSE. The project’s findings will guide practical actions to help reduce stress.

The survey is open until 30 September 2024, and a virtual event will take place on 2 October for those interested in sharing knowledge. All responses are anonymous.
