New weighing technology tackles extreme conditions
Minebea Intec has launched the Novego weighing module, designed to improve measurement accuracy in production plants subject to extreme lateral forces like storms, vibrations, and seismic activity. This solution is particularly useful in industries such as concrete, where tanks, silos, and containers are often exposed to stress from environmental changes.
Traditional weighing systems can struggle under these conditions, leading to measurement errors, safety risks, and unreliable data. The Novego module addresses these issues with a 360° guide arm that minimises measurement errors, even during extreme forces, and helps protect weighing components from damage.
A spokesperson for Minebea Intec said, “The Novego module helps maintain accurate measurements even in challenging environments, with quick installation and no need for costly additional components.”
Made from high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials, the Novego module has a maximum capacity of 2,000 kg and an IP69 protection rating, ensuring it’s resistant to dust, water, and high-pressure cleaning. This makes it ideal for demanding production environments requiring both reliability and hygiene.
Minebea Intec also offers additional inspection solutions, such as checkweighers, metal detectors, and X-ray systems, designed to perform reliably in harsh conditions. With over 70 years of expertise, Minebea Intec supports production managers worldwide with advanced weighing and inspection technologies.
