Roger Bullivant’s South Wales office has marked over ten years of collaboration with housebuilder Lovell Partnerships, delivering foundation engineering for multiple housing developments across the region.

The partnership has seen Roger Bullivant (RBL) play a key role in projects such as the Glan Llyn development in Newport, the transformation of the former Lansdowne Hospital site in Cardiff, and the ongoing Ringland Regeneration project.

Foundation Solutions for Key Developments

At Glan Llyn, a large-scale residential development on a former steelworks site, RBL has provided foundation solutions using driven precast concrete piles and its RBeam system. The project, which is being delivered in phases, continues to progress with RBL’s support.

RBL also played a role in the redevelopment of the Lansdowne Hospital site into a new residential community. The company installed a precast ground beam system, allowing for efficient site preparation. The project is now complete, providing much-needed housing in Cardiff.

For the Ringland Regeneration project in Newport, RBL installed continuous flight auger (CFA) piles to support apartment blocks and ground-floor retail spaces. The technique was chosen to accommodate the complex ground conditions and varied load demands of the mixed-use development.

Commitment to Future Projects

Across these projects, RBL has installed around 5,000 piles and 20,000 metres of precast RBeam. Looking ahead, the company plans to continue working with Lovell on future developments in South Wales.

David Johnson, RBL South Wales area manager, said: “Our partnership with Lovell over the last decade is something we are incredibly proud of. The success of projects like Glan Llyn, Lansdowne, and Ringland highlights the strength of this collaboration. We look forward to supporting Lovell in delivering more housing and community projects in the years ahead.”

With a shared focus on quality and sustainability, RBL and Lovell remain committed to developing housing and infrastructure that meets the needs of South Wales communities.
