Webinar series to tackle building safety issues
The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) is running a series of free webinars in February and March 2025 to provide practical advice on key building safety topics.
The sessions are tailored for different audiences, including building managers, resident-led organisations, contractors, and building inspectors.
The first two sessions, on 19 and 20 February, will focus on Building Assessment Certificates (BACs), offering guidance on application criteria. The 19 February session is aimed at experienced Principal Accountable Persons (PAPs) and Accountable Persons (APs), while the 20 February session is for less-experienced, resident-led organisations.
On 27 February, a webinar will cover large-scale remediation and refurbishment, as well as the construction of new higher-risk buildings (HRBs). It will provide advice for commercial clients, contractors, and designers on making building control applications.
A session on 4 March will focus on building works in occupied higher-risk buildings (HRBs), particularly in individual flats. It will help PAPs, APs, and management companies understand their responsibilities.
The final webinar, on 18 March, will provide an update for building inspectors and building control bodies on the regulation of their profession. It will cover inspections, investigations, and compliance trends.
Each session will include a Q&A with BSR representatives, and video recordings will be available after the events. Places are limited, so early registration is advised.
