Brett Concrete’s new wet-batch plant at Portsmouth is capable of producing up to 400m3 of concrete per day and can provide both traditional and specialist concrete mixes and flowing screeds.

The new plant expands Brett Concrete’s presence along the South Coast serving the areas of Portsmouth, Chichester and Southampton and is situated alongside Brett Aggregates’ recently opened deepwater wharf, which provides the benefit of a consistent flow of material to the site allowing for the steady production of concrete products.

Nigel Tyler, production manager, said: “We are really pleased with how it’s performing - all credit to Ray Woodger, operations supervisor, and the team who put a lot of time and effort in making sure the plant was set-up effectively and continues to run efficiently.”

Joshua Forzani, sales manager for Brett Concrete, commented: “We’ve been busy since opening and are already supplying a variety of projects in the Portsmouth area including concrete slabs, walls and pilings for the Southsea coastal defence project, concrete for the construction of an extension building for Chichester College as well as grey pigmented concrete for a domestic project. We are very much looking forward to future exciting opportunities in this area.”
