Wotmix have supplied a Concrete-Drive-Through machine to Carters Concrete for Dorset's first drive-through concrete plant.

Carters Concrete, based in Lytchett Minster, Dorset, has launched the county's first drive-through concrete plant using a CDT (Concrete Drive-Thru) machine supplied by Wotmix.

One of only three drive-through concrete plants in the UK, the innovative machine combines a self-service kiosk with an automatic dispenser, allowing customers to select and collect concrete quickly.

Users choose their mix via a touchscreen, pay using contactless methods, and collect their order in minutes.

The Carters Concrete depot in Lytchett Minster, Dorset, is the county's first drive-through concrete plant using a CDT (Concrete Drive-Thru) machine supplied by Wotmix.

Explaining how the CDT machine works, Wotmix’s Scott Houghton said: “Using the intuitive touch screen kiosk, customers browse through the selection of concrete and choose the type and exact quantity they need.

“Customers conveniently pay for their order directly at the terminal using Credit card, debit card, or a stored customer account with RFID and PIN verification.

“After payment, a QR code is generated and then scanned by the dispenser controller. The system accurately dispenses the chosen product in 1-3 minutes.”

Wotmix, a Manchester-based company, specialises in waste management and innovative concrete solutions, and its CDT machine has now enabled Carters Concrete to offer faster service to its customers, says co-owner Jay Connor.

Carters Concrete was founded just two years ago and is named after Jay and co-owner and wife Lucy’s youngest son Carter.

Carters Concrete's CDT opened with a special ceremony last month.
