Maturix appoints UK distributor
Selkent has been appointed the exclusive UK distributor of the Maturix intelligent sensor system, which offers real-time monitoring of concrete temperature, strength, and maturity during the curing and drying process.
The system provides accurate data from within concrete elements, allowing engineers to make informed decisions that can improve project efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality control.
The Maturix system uses inexpensive thermocouples embedded in the concrete, eliminating the need for costly cast-in sensors. This design lowers running costs and reduces onsite waste. Unlike other monitoring systems, which are permanently embedded in the concrete, the Maturix unit can be disconnected and reused, providing a more sustainable and cost-effective solution.
Vaughan Bushnell, director at Selkent, explained: “This technology addresses a critical need in our industry for precise, real-time data on concrete performance and the curing process. By offering Maturix products, we’re empowering our clients to optimise their construction processes and deliver higher quality and cost-efficient results.”
The Maturix system automatically collects and saves data on concrete temperatures and curing duration, streamlining documentation and quality assurance. It can detect even the smallest changes in concrete properties, enabling early intervention to prevent potential structural issues.
Bushnell added: “The construction industry is increasingly embracing digital solutions to enhance productivity and sustainability. Maturix’s concrete monitoring technology offers clients a competitive edge in project management and quality control.”
As the exclusive UK distributor, Selkent will provide full support for Maturix products, including sales, installation guidance, and ongoing customer service.
