Shropshire-based concrete supplier SMC Mini Mix has added a New Generation DAF XBC 310 FA 18-tonne truck, complete with a McPhee concrete mixer body, to its fleet.

The vehicle, supplied by Greenhous Commercials in Shrewsbury, will be used to deliver loads of up to 4 cubic metres of ready-mix concrete across Shropshire and nearby areas.

Commenting on the latest addition to its fleet, Paul Morris, director at SMC Mini Mix, said: “This is the first XBC to join our fleet which is nearly entirely DAF. It’s had a great response so far with the drivers impressed at the overall comfort, technical specifications and user-friendliness.”

In addition to the standard features, the new truck is equipped with a Kelsa top light bar, air horns, and LED Slimline beacon bar with front and rear strobes, enhancing visibility and safety on the road.

“We have been a customer of Greenhous Commercials for over 20 years and have a great relationship. They’re located just four miles from our depot and they are always willing to help,” added Morris.

Commenting on the sale, Graham Waters, retail sales Manager at Greenhous Commercials added: “It’s been a pleasure working with Paul and the team at SMC Mini Mix over the years and we’re delighted to get their new DAF XBC completed and, on the road. We wish them many happy miles.”
