Tsurumi have announced the launch of their newly improved KRD series. This update replaces the previously popular KRS2 series with a range of enhanced features designed to boost performance and reliability.

The KRD series represents a significant upgrade from its predecessor, reflecting Tsurumi’s commitment to advancing technology in the construction sector. The new series has been designed to handle heavy-duty applications more effectively, particularly in dealing with sand and slurry.

Key improvements in the KRD series include an upgraded motor insulation class, which has been increased from B/E to F. This enhancement allows the motors to withstand temperatures up to 155°C, providing better heat protection and extending the lifespan of the pumps. This change is crucial for maintaining performance in demanding conditions.

In addition, the material used for the pump housing has been improved. The previous FC150 cast material, with a Brinell hardness of 212, has been replaced by FC200, which boasts a higher Brinell hardness of 223. This upgrade enhances the pumps' resistance to mechanical stress, ensuring they remain durable and reliable even when handling tough materials like sludge and bentonite. The new KRD series can handle water with rock up to 30 mm in diameter.

The updated pumps also feature slight changes in dimensions due to technical advancements. The KRD models can now achieve flow rates of up to 4300 litres per minute and lift heights of up to 31 metres, with motor outputs reaching up to 18 kW. These improvements reflect Tsurumi’s aim to address the evolving needs of the construction industry with a product designed to meet future demands.

With these upgrades, Tsurumi continues to set standards for performance and durability in the construction sector, offering solutions that enhance efficiency and reliability in challenging conditions.
