Volumech has announced the appointment of Steve Cartwright as its new general manager, coinciding with the first anniversary of its UK headquarters in Wednesbury, West Midlands.

Cartwright, who has over 30 years of experience in the truck and plant sectors, takes over from Brandon Hess, who served in the role for six years. Hess is shifting focus to international sales with Volumech’s parent company, Cemen Tech, where he will oversee expansion in Europe, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific regions.

Commenting on his new role, Cartwright said: “I’m delighted to join Volumech at such an exciting time as we continue to grow our market share of volumetric mixers. With our new UK headquarters, including a dedicated concrete testing lab, we can carry out bespoke concrete mix designs as well as sampling and testing for diverse projects.”

The new headquarters, which opened last year, reflects Volumech’s commitment to advancing the volumetric mixing industry. Cartwright noted: “The company has made significant investments in technology, staff, and training and has ambitious plans for the next 18 months.”

Founded over 25 years ago, Volumech is a leading provider of volumetric concrete mixers, spare parts, and services in the UK. Its parent company, Cemen Tech, is the world’s largest manufacturer of volumetric mixers.
