The Advanced Carbons Council (ACC) will host a conference and networking event on 8 July 2025 in Birmingham, focusing on how advanced carbon materials can impact industries such as concrete construction.

Experts will discuss the latest developments in materials like graphene, carbon nanotubes, carbon fibre, and sustainable carbons such as biochar. These materials have the potential to improve the durability of concrete while reducing reliance on cement, which is a major contributor to carbon emissions.

The event will also cover industry standards, health and safety, application testing, and carbon credits. Attendees will have opportunities to network with professionals across various sectors.

Following the main conference, additional sessions on 9–10 July at the Advanced Materials Show will provide further insights into these materials and their applications.

The ACC, which supports the development and commercialisation of advanced carbon materials, encourages companies to participate in the event and explore membership opportunities. The organisation operates internationally, with a strong focus on the UK, Europe, and North America.

For more information, contact Terrance Barkan at the ACC.
