The mixer features capped blades, a superior helical coil geometry to ensure thoroughly mixed, premium quality concrete, and a rapid charge and discharge rate for more efficiency on site. A 400-litre steel water tank provides adequate water for washing down and controlling the concrete mix where necessary while maintaining a competitive payload.
Supplied through Sterling’s ‘stock program’ meant the vehicle was on the road within four weeks of the order being placed, including paintwork and livery in Bear Concrete’s distinctive branding.
Commenting on its acquisition, Bear Concrete director Nick Roy said: “I was impressed with the experience of working with Sterling Mixers, from the start they were proactive and helpful to deal with.
We received the truck in only around four weeks from placing the order. Painted in our colours, it looks great and is a vital tool for our growth and investment plans.”Established by managing director Antony James in 1995, family-run Sterling Group manufactures beavertail trucks from 14 to 32 tonnes and, since 2020, 8m3 capacity concrete mixers from its 3,550m2 manufacturing base, on a 2 ha site in Stokesley for customers nationally.
