National Pile Croppers upgrade Heavy Duty CFA Links

National Pile Croppers (NPC) has developed a new upgrade to its Heavy Duty CFA Links to cope with even the most demanding of projects. Its range of hydraulic pile croppers are currently used throughout the United Kingdom, Australia and increasingly, Europe.

Collectively, the management team has more than 100 years of experience in the piling industry and has been developing and supplying its own line of patented customer focused pile cropping solutions to a wide span of customers, ranging from multinationals working on HS2 and specialist piling companies, to regional contractors and local ground workers.

The NPC product portfolio has grown to suit its customers' required and NPC director, Lee Aston said: “We continually keep in close contact with our customers and use the feedback from our croppers being used in the field to produce the equipment we know our customers require in order to be more efficient, productive and safe. Our latest development is the direct result of working with our customers – including some of the largest civil engineering companies in Europe - on some very large projects that required a heavy-duty solution."

For dealing with augured (round) piles, NPC developed the CFA and HD range, which cuts circular augured concrete piles ranging from 300mm to 2,000mm in diameter. The latest version of the NPC Heavy Duty CFA Links has a new and improved design to help achieve minimal downtime for working to demanding timescales, in demanding conditions.

“NPC Heavy Duty CFA Links are are able to reduce piles of 2m in diameter, such as those found on HS2 and other large highways projects ongoing across the UK,” explains Lee. “NPC also offer segmental adjustment links to help provide a closer proximity to the pile. Flexibility is inbuilt into the design which means that they are modular, being easily adjusted to suit required pile sizes with adjustments of 100mm at a time without any hydraulic interference. Furthermore, by using the provided lifting frame, restrictions are minimised.”

NPC is intending to update the entire product range over the next 18 months in order to meet ever developing customer requirements.
