Doka has expanded its range of site solutions with the introduction of the Ringlock scaffolding system, aimed at providing a versatile, high-capacity option for concrete construction and access works.

The modular system, launched in March 2024, has been designed to meet the needs of complex construction sites where flexible and safe working platforms are essential. Based around a simple rosette and wedge-head locking mechanism, Ringlock uses a small set of core components to assemble robust scaffolding structures for applications including shoring, rebar scaffolding, façade works, and stair towers.

Made of galvanised steel, the Ringlock system supports high load capacities and adapts easily to irregular structures, tight corners and varying slab heights. Key components include standards with welded rosettes every 50 cm, horizontal ledgers that double as guardrails, perforated steel planks for non-slip working surfaces, and a full range of diagonal braces and toeboards.

Doka says around 80% of Ringlock components can be reused across multiple configurations, supporting cost-efficiency and reducing material demand on busy concrete construction sites. Assembly is designed to be simple and fast, using only a hammer and without the need for bolts or screws.

Ringlock has been certified under DIBt standards — the German Institute for Construction Technology’s seal of approval for structural stability and safety — and Local Cert schemes, confirming compliance with building regulations in key international markets. Doka says the certifications provide customers with reassurance that the system meets both German and local safety and performance standards.

The system is available for both sale and rental, with Doka offering rapid delivery from its distribution network. It has been positioned as an ideal complement to Doka’s existing formwork systems, enabling contractors to access integrated shoring, scaffolding, and formwork solutions through a single supplier.

A full range of accessories is also available to customise the system for specialised applications, including suspended scaffolding, rebar installation platforms, and concrete pour preparations.

In Warsaw’s Praga Południe district in Poland, a duet of Ringlock systems are enabling the construction of a new vintage headquarters for the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra. The new home for the musical ensemble will be in historic buildings once home to the Institute of Veterinary Medicine. Working closely with The DORACO Building Corporation, Doka is providing a sophisticated scaffolding solution which uses Ringlock components to reinforce the 120-year-old walls of the two structures forming the main building. Anchored to the existing walls, a 50cm-high double lattice girder is arranged into four levels to protect restorers and site workers against strong winds. The second Ringlock application covers seven levels of the external façade of the accompanying structure. The dual use provides a secure workspace for those conserving and restoring the building, as well as providing a safe environment for the slab works being carried out on the upper level of the building.
