China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) has successfully completed the raft slab pour for the Safa Two residential tower in Dubai. The operation involved 14,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement and over 25,000 cubic metres of concrete, forming the structural base for the 336.75m skyscraper.

The Safa Two project, developed by DAMAC Properties, is in Dubai’s Business Bay and will feature 86 storeys and 1,284 luxury apartments. Inspired by jewellery designs from Swiss brand De Grisogono, the tower will showcase a scarlet theme throughout. Key features include a "fog forest" at its crown, where artificial fog swirls around illuminated vegetation, and a jewel-shaped swimming pool suspended 218 m above the ground.

“This is a significant milestone for the Safa Two project,” says a CSCEC spokesperson. "The raft slab forms the foundation of this ambitious high-rise, blending complex structural engineering with innovative design."

Construction began earlier in 2024, with completion scheduled for 2027. The estimated project cost is £687 million. CSCEC’s role extends beyond structural work to include decoration and landscaping.

CSCEC, a global construction leader, operates in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Its projects span residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments, and it is renowned for tackling complex engineering challenges. Safa Two is one of several projects reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a hub for architectural innovation.
