Structural Concrete Alliance’s 2024 Industry Day to focus on sustainability in construction practices

The Structural Concrete Alliance (SCA) have announced its 2024 Industry Day (11 Sept 2024) will focus on sustainability in construction practices.

Bringing together professionals and experts from across the sector, the event will be held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel Bloomsbury Street, London and include members from the Concrete Repair Association (CRA), Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA), Sprayed Concrete Association (SCA), engineers, architects, local authorities, and other key stakeholders for a day of insightful presentations, networking opportunities, and the latest industry developments.

Chaired by Mott MacDonald’s Professor Paul Lambert, the Industry Day will include five detailed presentations covering various aspects of sustainability in construction, from innovative materials and techniques to policy and regulatory perspectives.

A dynamic panel discussion with the Industry Day experts will delve into the practical steps required to achieve sustainable practices within the construction sector. This interactive session will allow attendees to ask questions and contribute to the conversation on shaping the industry’s sustainable future.

Confirmed speakers are: Fergus Harradence, Department for Business & Trade; Will Arnold, Institute of Structural Engineers; Said El-Belbol and Natalie Bird, National Highways; David Offord, Onsite Central Ltd; and Chris Wozencroft, Corrosion Engineering.
