The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2024.

Founded in 1964 by 13 pioneering piling contractors, the FPS has consistently aimed to improve the piling industry's standards, safety, working conditions, and commercial practices.

Over the past six decades, the Federation has achieved significant milestones, thanks to influential leaders and a steadfast commitment to advancing the geotechnical sector.

Since its founding, the FPS has had 44 chairs from 27 different UK companies, each contributing to its mission. These leaders have fostered strong relationships and partnerships that drive innovation and excellence in piling.

The FPS has led the industry in enhancing safety protocols through guidance, position papers, and standards.
