Vemaventuri enters US market with concrete sensor solutions

Vemaventuri, a subsidiary of global formwork and scaffolding manufacturer PERI, has expanded into the US market. The launch took place at the World of Concrete (WoC) in Las Vegas, January 21-23, 2025, where the company introduced its concrete monitoring technology as part of PERI USA’s offerings.

Speaking at WoC, Strydom Groenewald, CEO of PERI USA, said: “We are thrilled to bring Vemaventuri’s sensor technology to the US construction industry. The successful first use of the products here shows their potential to change how we monitor concrete and improve construction efficiency. Their sensor solutions provide a unique opportunity to tackle challenges in the US market with smarter, data-driven approaches.”

Vemaventuri’s sensor solutions, including PREMO, TEMO, and PHONO, offer real-time monitoring to improve efficiency, safety, and quality on construction sites. PREMO monitors concrete pressure, TEMO tracks temperature and concrete maturity for faster curing, and PHONO ensures accurate compaction and fill-level monitoring, reducing risk and improving cost control.

While the official launch took place at WoC, the products made their "real-life" debut in the US with the successful deployment of Vemaventuri’s PREMO Concrete Pressure Monitoring system by Foundations Hawaii Inc. The system was used on Hawaii’s Airport Modernization Program, where it provided real-time monitoring of concrete pressure during complex pours. This enabled more accurate adjustments that helped manage structural integrity, reduce risk, optimise formwork use, and lower costs.
